| WAYNE, N.J.- February 20, 2009 ISP today announced a new generation of self-developing dosimetry film with performance features that surpass the original technology introduced in 2004. Called GAFCHROMIC EBT2, the advanced technology retains all of the attributes that make the original film easy to use in a radiotherapy environment, but now includes a marker dye to support automated calculations of dose response using both the red and blue color channels of a flatbed color scanner. The new film represents an improvement over GAFCHROMIC EBT in the area of uniformity because the response value derived from the marker dye provides a reference level for the performance of the film. |
